ACR – Auto Call Recorder _F'p4
Thisapplication is designed to record your phone calls automatically to asound file on your device. It automatically detects when you are on anincoming or outgoing call and then records the conversation to thefolder you specify. ACR now has a few more options in this version totry and cover all the requests made on forum.xda-developers.com andthere are more to come but this version is more about making theapplication stable than anything else. The next version should be thelast beta version and will incorporate a selective call recording listbased on contacts you choose, a display of the calls that ACR hasrecorded as well as some statistics. It will also include a graphicaloverhaul of the world’s ugliest interface. mP]}fl

Note: this program requires .NET Compact Framework 3.5 Redistributable to work. Please install this first. E7iy        |N

SETUP |0kq0
Onceinstalled go to your programs folder and you will see a new Icon forAuto Call Recorder. Click on the Icon and the options for Auto CallRecorder will be displayed. Once you have chosen your options click theEnable Recording button on the File Tab and close the Options Program. That’s it you are now automatically recording any calls your device has. vx; TMY

OPTIONS \C~Qei`!
Thereare two tabs of options to choose from. Most of these you will not needto use at all but where included to provide a better experience forsome users who have different requirements such as limited memory, nouse to record all calls and such. b]QUhDx,N
=pBkEk3~K
File Tab #O8T?M@
Folder to save calls in }XYC<rvr
Fromthe top of the file tab, first we have a textbox showing where thefiles will be saved. On the right of this textbox is a button. Thisbutton when pressed will open a window so that you may change where ACRsaves the files. Q.74Cb
9D3t!6 M
Ask to save Call ot^w5k'uM
Thischeckbox when checked will make ACR prompt you with a choice to savethe call once the call has finished. Note that even if you choose noyou will still have the option to retrieve the last call up until youreceive another call. The file Lastcall.wav is only overwritten whenyou receive another call. .n]\|S
J"qWs.,
Record Incoming Calls/Record Outgoing Calls #G8/\,Wx
Thesecheckboxes is pretty self explanatory, if you want ACR to record yourincoming calls then check this box, if you don’t then uncheck this box.The same goes for Record Outgoing Calls. [H=VF<dp
NXO2q1A
Write to Debug File +$fFS(kO[n
Onlyuse this option if you are having problems. At the moment the debug isvery limited. When you have this option check ACR will write debugmessages to a file ‘debug.txt’ in the installation folder. zE:4,@m2q
LR%$L/ty&
Recording Tab `)"n6$
Therecording tab contains the setting for the file to be recorded. Firstis the Wav format. This is either PCM or GSM6.10 PCM is a ‘raw’ wavformat that will use about 1MB per minute. I have included this formatfor devices that do not support GSM6.10. The other format GSM6.10 is a‘compressed’ Wav format and consumes approximately 30kB per minute.Obviously this is the preferred choice. n%5XTL=op
O#8%K4d%(
Bits per channel are either 8 or 16 bits. 16 bits is the preferred choice but I have also included 8 bits for slower devices. dbkkl:
  &^        $Ba.c
Samplesper Second are the number of samples taken each second. This is amatter of preference/device capability. The choices are 8000, 11025,16000, 22050, 32000, 44100, 48000, 96000 and 192000Hz. If you have aslow device then you are better starting from the bottom and workingyour way up by testing to see which the best is for you. If you have anewer device then it is more a choice of how much space you want to useas the higher the number the more space the file will use. Also yourdevice may not support the higher frequencies so I recommend startingwith something like 48000Hz. If you set the frequency to high you willget gaps in your recordings. Kdeyg4C>

TIPS AND FIXES O@;Z@ l
This is a condensed form of the previous thread and this thread. I will cover all the fixes found by the great folk at XDA. v;]cx<.

1. Enable MicAGC. Its in Settings/System. :n""3D^;e
Z,j6I
“Ionly hear my voice, the other party is very soft?” This is because youdevice is not setup to record both the incoming and outgoing voices. This can also be because your device is only ‘half-duplex’. To solvethis try the suggestions in the Devices Post. 3|>-@=<`b
(w8cq4NH?
“ACRonly records the first minute of the call?” This is because you have‘fast sleep’ enabled on your device. Try something like AdvancedConfiguration Tool to disable fast sleep. O4XaR>9Vu
A*X^5{CFZz
“Ican’t see if it’s working?” ACR has no interface when it’s running. Itwas designed like this to keep memory usage to a minimum. If you arehaving troubles with this then I suggest you use the ‘Ask to save call’option so you know it’s worked after the call. You can also see itrunning in a task manager program when you choose to show ‘viewprocesses’. UZx}vj@t
Ah,*_P(J
“Itsborked, it saves two copies of the file?” This is intentional, the fileLastcall.wav is overwritten every time a call is made. This file isalso here in case you did want to save the last call but pressed no youcan still retrieve it. It’s also because I’m too lazy to clean up thispart of the code for the time being. WS%DF_c
